Snapper RP21700B Self Propelled Mower
The first model offered by Snapper in the walk behind mulching series is the self propelled RP21700B. It doesn't have a bagging system as it has been specifically designed for efficient lawn trimmings. If you want bagging, then you should consider Snapper's HI-VAC series which consist of a powerful vacuum system and big bag collector.
Built with a Briggs and Stratton 700 Series engine along with a ReadyStart feature which eliminates the need for manual priming and choking, the RP21700B can produce a gross torque of 7.00 lbs-ft for plenty of mulching actions. Also featuring on this model is Snapper's exclusive disc-drive transmission which delivers more engine power directly to the wheels. It has a variable speed of 1.7 to 4.0 MPH controlled by a dual lever.
The RP21700B is all about mulching and made possible with a NINJA Mulching System embedded in its 21" cutting deck. It is basically a set of six unique cutting surfaces on each NINJA blade which cut and recut the grass clippings, turning them into fine mulch that disappear in the lawns to decompose. The deck is made of 14-gauge steel making it resistant to years of rugged use. There is a seven height-of-cut adjustments - choose from 1.25 to 4.0 inches - for your ideal cut.
To finish off, Snapper has included a comfortable foam handle grips and user friendly console with cup-holder. The RP21700B is priced at $549 and comes with a two years warranty.
